Guiding Principles at Wee Rascals Preschool in Surprise, AZ
The program philosophy is founded on the following child development guiding principles:
Families
are the primary caregivers and educators of young children.
Children
learn best in an atmosphere that fosters self-esteem and self-confidence.
A
child’s self-esteem is preserved and strengthened within the Child’s
culture and language is fostered and respected through planned and
unplanned activities.
Children learn best when they have relationships that are safe, consistent, and predictable.
Children’s success is enhanced when the involvement includes: parents/guardians, center staff, and community in creating a network for the benefit of the child’s needs.
Goals & Objectives
To
provide a program designed to identify the physical, social, emotional,
creative, linguistic, cultural and cognitive needs of the individual
child.
To
insure a clean, healthy, safe, positive physical environment for children
and staff.
To
promote parent and community participation, involvement, support,
coordination, and collaboration with program staff of Wee Rascals
Pre-School.
To
provide a developmentally appropriate nutrition program.
To
provide a staff with training that will qualify and develop their ability
to support and achieve Wee Rascals Goals.
