Guiding Principles at Wee Rascals Preschool in Surprise, AZ
The program philosophy is founded on the following child development guiding principles:
- Families
are the primary caregivers and educators of young children.
- Children
learn best in an atmosphere that fosters self-esteem and self-confidence.
- A child’s self-esteem is preserved and strengthened within the Child’s culture and language is fostered and respected through planned and unplanned activities.
- Children learn best when they have relationships that are safe, consistent, and predictable.
- Children’s success is enhanced when the involvement includes: parents/guardians, center staff, and community in creating a network for the benefit of the child’s needs.
Goals & Objectives
- To
provide a program designed to identify the physical, social, emotional,
creative, linguistic, cultural and cognitive needs of the individual
child.
- To
insure a clean, healthy, safe, positive physical environment for children
and staff.
- To
promote parent and community participation, involvement, support,
coordination, and collaboration with program staff of Wee Rascals
Pre-School.
- To
provide a developmentally appropriate nutrition program.
- To
provide a staff with training that will qualify and develop their ability
to support and achieve Wee Rascals Goals.
